It feels strange to be writing a “normal” post in the middle of this chaos. But honestly, wasn’t this issue always here? People are just calling attention to it now. Which is epic. So, the world is evolving. We can’t stay the same. It’s okay to read and write the normal. But don’t forget. Remember the battle waging.
So, today I’m here with Sam for a really neat collab that she reached out to me about a month or two ago. If you’ve known me decently long enough, you’ve probably notice that I kinda have a thing for mbti. Which is why it’s so exciting to be categorizing your favorite fictional characters into mbti types. :)
I’ll be taking intp (mine), estp, infj, entj, esfp, estj, infp, and isfp while Sam will be taking…the other eight types. Please go ahead and check Sam out since she’s a lovely blanket burrito and her blog name is about chocolate. Enough said.
Well, anyways, let’s begin!

(Per usual, none of the images/gifs are mine)
INTP
Theoretically, this should be easy since I’m an INTP. We’ll see.
BRUCE BANNER (MCU)

Because he’s a scientist because what else could he be?
(Okay wow this is harder than I thought – I’m stuck already.)
ARTHUR WEASLEY (Harry Potter)

He has a fascination with other cultures, brings artifacts (illegally) home, tinkers with inventions with mixed results, and wants to know the function of a rubber duck. Enough said.
LEOPOLD FITZ (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)

I could see Fitz as an INFP, but I feel that overall he’s guided more by head than heart (except when it comes to Jemma and Aida – what the goose Fitz.) He’s also in STEM and I want him to be an INTP because I am.

ESTP
I love the general aesthetic of ESTPs.
CARSWELL THORNE (The Lunar Chronicles)
I couldn’t decide between ESTP and ESFP but he was considerably more practical than Cress in the desert (though to be fair, Cress did spend years in a satellite) so he gets to go here.
DEKE (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
I thought about putting Deke in ESFP since he can be a bit of a dork (take the gif for example), but his survival skills and that company he started? They scream ESTP to me.
JARED (Dear Evan Hansen)
We don’t get too much of his character in the musical, but I think what we get is enough to show him as the sassy ESTP he is.

INFJ
REMUS LUPIN (Harry Potter)

*sniff* my favorite character in the Harry Potter fandom. He’s misunderstood so he goes here.
CINDER (The Lunar Chronicles)
Oh geez, Cinder’s complicated. So she can be an INFJ.
JEMMA SIMMONS (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)

I thought about making her an INTP because she’s a scientist. But ultimately she’s an INFJ basing more decisions on feeling and preferring to plan a little more.

ENTJ
STEPHEN STRANGE (MCU)

Doctor Strange takes the cake for some of the coolest visuals I’ve ever seen. Arrogant neurosurgeons who become epic sorcerers get to be ENTJs. (If you’re wondering if that’s too categorical, when was the last time you met a doctor become master of the mystic arts.)
ELIZABETH TURNER (Pirates of the Caribbean)

Ahh Elizabeth is hard but sadly, I can’t legally put her in INFJ. I can see the argument for ENFJ based off the decisions she’s made because of feeling, but I feel that in At World’s End she becomes more of a commander at heart. Oh, and who can forget the end of the second movie. Blech. (I also can’t think of any more ENTJs but that’s irrelevant.)
ENJOLRAS (Les Miserables)

He’s a strong leader, filled with ideals about France (like their wedding rings), and ready to put them in action. Seems like an ENTJ to me. (I actually read Les Mis this year.) (Huge has a weird thing for French sewers – I’m disappointed they didn’t put a song about it in the musical.)

ESFP
QUEENIE GOLDSTEIN (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them)

Let’s forget that Crimes of Grindelwald ever happened, okay. From a technical standpoint, it was a mess. Actually, from any standpoint it was a mess so there’s that. We love more low-key femme fatales who give us cocoa.
PEREGIN TOOK (Lord of the Rings)

I tried to type Pippin Took but it felt so wrong I had to change it. Though his personality in the movies (idiot) is less distinct in the books, it still fits.
YO-YO RODRIGUEZ (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)

Her nickname’s Yo-Yo she’s an ESFP. (Technically, she didn’t choose that name though so I guess that point doesn’t really stand.) (She’s still a strong ESFP due to feeling vs thinking, impulsiveness, and definite extroversion.)
FLEURETTE KOPP (The Kopp Sisters) I wanted an excuse to promote one of my favorite book series so here we are. :P She could easily fit into ENFP too, but ultimately I placed her in ESFP because she wants to be an actress actually…that about fits it.
RUBY GILLIS (Anne of Green Gables) *moment of silence for the chapter where Anne visits Ruby on her sickbed because that has to be one of the most emotionally compelling things I’ve ever read* Anyway, L.M. Montgmery describes Ruby as being a life-of-the-party, entertainer kind of girl which fits pretty well into the stereotypical ESFP.
RON WEASLEY (Harry Potter)

I spy an ESFP. He’s extremely emotion/what’s happening NOW based, as well as being an obvious extrovert and improvisor.

ESTJ
I know no ESTJs help.
CONSTANCE KOPP (The Kopp Sisters) I originally housed her in ENTJ, but the reason she became the first female deputy isn’t out of ambition – it’s her singular desire to protect her family. (She could honestly be an ISTJ but I wanna talk about her so too bad.)
MINERVA MCGONAGALL (Harry Potter)

HA I FOUND ANOTHER ESTJ. You could probably argue that she’s extroverted, she’s most, uh let’s see, sincerely sensory, laboriously logical, and perfectly planning. (Look at that alliteration :,).)

INFP
I feel like 99% of the population are INFPs so this should be simple enough.
ANNE SHIRLEY (Anne of Green Gables) Ah, Anne. INFPs sprouted from these books.
LUNA LOVEGOOD (Harry Potter)

Manic pixie dream girls go here.
FRODO BAGGINS (Lord of the Rings)

The characters in LOTR feel harder to classify for me since they’re so complex and their personalities are never 100% clear. But INFP’s probably the best fit for poor ol’ Frodo.
CRESS (The Lunar Chronicles) I’m kinda running out of explanations for these so she’s an INFP because I say so. She’s a pretty stereotypical INFP, honestly – idealistic, dreamy, romantic, etc. etc.
WINTER (The Lunar Chronicles) See above.
ORPHEUS (Hadestown)
Annnd…see above.
FANTINE (Les Miserables)

Ooh, Fantine’s a little more complex. In the book, she begins with dreams. She’s a bit idealistic, very naive. And then she grows. When she loses everything, however, she still fantasizes about a beautiful childhood for Cosette and reuniting with her.
LUCY PEVENSIE (Chronicles of Narnia)

I really wasn’t kidding when I said that 99% of the population is an INFP. She’s pretty self-explanatory so I’ll leave you at that.
STICKY WASHINGTON (The Mysterious Benedict Society) IT WAS SO OFF-PUTTING WHEN THEY CALLED HIM GEORGE IN THE NEW BOOK LIKE NOBODY WANTS THAT OKAY. *cough* Anyways, he’s fairly emotional, introverted, doesn’t always plan things…you know what he’s an INFP okay.

ISFP
EOWYN (Lord of the Rings)

We love us a cool stabby shieldmaiden who becomes an equally cool healer. (Wait she did become a healer right.)
COSETTE (Les Miserables)

Hugo’s characters are like Tolkien’s characters – less clear-cut. Cosette’s difficult because she’s a freaking idiot because of that, but ISFP’s her best fit.
Whew. Well, that concludes that! Make sure to check out Sam’s half on her blog here (and no you don’t get any bribes) (maybe she’ll give you chocolate though.) This was such a fun collab to do, and honestly I could’ve gone on for another 10,000 words if you let me. There’s just so many INFPs, goodness.
I hope you have a lovely week with much cake. If there’s a lot of frosting, call me.

RESOURCES:
ENJOLRAS YEAAAH *pumps fist*
Yes, Pippin is an idiot. But a very lovable idiot. *hugs him*
EEEEP, LuCy!!!!! Lucy is such a sweet bean and I love her so much *hugs her too*
Hahaha, “cool stabby shieldmaiden” (and yes she did become a healer :)
I’m sorry, Cosette, but….*lowers voice* you are an absolute idiot and I just….don’t like you that much….

Yess, Enjolras is a little crazy but still. :P
Yeah – I didn’t have an opinion on Cosette at first but she slowly grew more and more annoying.

These posts were so fun! I enjoy MBTI. Ooh my dad is an ESTJ, so it’s pretty easy for me to spot ESTJ characters. Then, I also have a really good IRL friend who is an ESTJ as well. I guess I’m surrounded by ESTJs. 😂😂
I’m an ENFP. 😃

Oh really? That’s neat! I don’t think I’ve actually ever met an ESTJ at all. XD
Ooh, fun! I think that’s what my brother used to be before he changed to ISFP. :P

ANNE’S AN ENFP SHE’S ME SHE’S ME HELP

Okay so I was gonna say that maybe in the first book but she becomes an INFP when I realized that actually she does seem like an ENFP and now I don’t know what to think.

I would have thought you to be an INFP, but I guess INTP makes sense too.
I agree with all of these. You did a great job.
I think it’s perfectly okay to post “normal” posts during this time. I mean, some people feel compelled to share their opinions on the matter, others do not. I personally haven’t shared anything because I don’t feel like I have anything to add to the matter. Obviously racism is wrong, but there are so many people more capable than I, who have handled the matter well.
Anyway, Fitz is perfect as an INTP. (have you seen any of season 7? I desprately need to know where Fitz is. Why is he not in any of the episodes?!)
Also, Cress is an INFP if I ever knew one. And honestly, INFPs only make up about 4% of the world’s population, but I have a theory on why I know so many. Do you think that would make an interesting blog post someday?

Hehe, you’re not the only one who thinks that I’m an INFP. XD
I get what you’re saying! I think that it’s still important to speak up where you can, but I can understand where you’re coming from.
I haven’t gotten to watch Season 7 now, but I’m intrigued…
And yes, I would love to read that blog post!

I am obsessed with Anne Of Green Gables/Anne With An E and Les Mis (especially Enjolras lol)!!!! I so want to read the book – was it good? xx

THE BOOK IS AMAZING. It’s *very* long, of course, but completely worth every word. And yes, Enjolras is great. XD I first read the Anne of Green Gables books when I was 4 so they pretty much shaped my childhood. XD Anne With An E looks epic but the books are just so dear to my heart I can’t bring myself watch it. 😅
